Description Song Liu 2011-10-04 22:39:09 UTC
Timers currently run at the priority of the softirq that processes them and they are accounted to whichever task was preempted for them to run. This negatively impacts determinism and accounting accuracy.
Comment 1 Darren Hart 2011-10-14 12:40:25 UTC
Likely at risk for 1.2 delivery due to Linux kernel release schedule and Yocto schedule. Possibly 1.3 delivery.
Comment 2 Darren Hart 2012-05-16 21:29:08 UTC
This is perhaps not best tracked in our bugzilla system. This is a feature enhancement for the kernel itself, and not one that has been requested by any users of the system. Will leave this for the Linux kernel community to manage (so I may still do the work).
