Description Tom Zanussi 2011-10-06 12:23:47 UTC
The current set of meta-intel BSPs have varying degrees of redundant and/or unnecessary kernel config options, which should be cleaned up. The same goes for the machine.conf files in the BSP layers - they should have common settings extracted out into .inc files.

I did a first pass on the kernel config options for several BSPs and posted them, but they're pending a home to put them in and need to be rebased because some other options have gone in ahead of them in the meantime. I need to rebase them and do the same thing for the remaining BSPs.

I also did a first cut as extracting commonalities from the machine.conf files and posted them, but they should go into the same location as the other common .inc files.

I think for the task, there is no need to design QA tests since it's a rebase/clean up work.

Tom,
If you want any tests for the task, pls. tell me.

Implemented by various meta-intel and kernel commits
