Can you test it once again with 0.78 version? (In reply to comment #1) > Can you test it once again with 0.78 version? It still doesn't work. This time the wired interface didn't come up by default, but did work after enabling it in the connman preferences. But the wireless works? Did you find anything useful to trace why it didn't enable network for you by default? I just realised that you might be lacking the required plugins for connman to work. Please add: connman-plugin-loopback connman-plugin-ethernet connman-plugin-wifi I reproduced it here (the no wired connectivity by default) and I am working with upstream to fix it. As soon as I get it done I update this bug so you can test it once again. The fix for wired connectivity by default has been commited onto master; can you test wireless connection again? Tested with a 12/15 checkout of poky master and connman automatically brought up ethernet and the wireless "enable" worked, making the "scan" button available which found the local access points and successfully associated with mine. See comment #7. |
OE Build Configuration: BB_VERSION = "1.15.0" TARGET_ARCH = "i586" TARGET_OS = "linux" MACHINE = "fri2-noemgd" DISTRO = "poky" DISTRO_VERSION = "1.1+snapshot-20111203" TUNE_FEATURES = "m32 core2" TARGET_FPU = "" meta meta-yocto = "dvhart/fixes:c789d172a56b55664568a8f49fde73879a2782c7" meta-intel meta-fri2 = "dvhart/fri2-master:e814b868a4a24e6d5c389edb2078a4d5fbe64452" I was unable to get the connman applet to configure the wireless network on the fri2 device, despite the module being loaded, the firmware being present, and ifconfig listing wlan0. Connman->Preferences->Wireless->Enable - button border changes color, nothing else happens. I was able to modify the /etc/network/interfaces file to change the ssid and update the /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf file with my passphrase and use ifup wlan0 to successfully associate and retrieve an IP address: root@fri2-noemgd:~# ifconfig wlan0 wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr A0:88:B4:18:5A:C4 inet addr:192.168.1.148 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::a288:b4ff:fe18:5ac4/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:1191 errors:0 dropped:721 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:23 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:172040 (168.0 KiB) TX bytes:2862 (2.7 KiB) After installing connman-scripts, I see that connman isn't recognizing the wifi device: root@fri2-noemgd:/usr/lib/connman/test# ./test-connman services * Wired { ethernet_00b3380002c4_cable }
