Some users see the following QA errors when building qt4:

We originally fixed this problem by simply deleting these executables [1] on the assumption that they were always meant to be host executables. However, after a patch submission [2] and some testing with various architectures the executables were found to have the correct architecture, so the patch was effectively reverted. Now we have a report [3] of the problem returning.

We need to figure out the correct solution to this (and not just revert the patch.) The first thing to do is to figure out how to reproduce it, because at the moment I can't.

I have a fix for this but am waiting for Eric Bénard (or someone else who experienced this issue) to verify that it fixes the problem. The patch can be found in this OE-core contrib branch:
