The 'Parsing recipes' function should stop without displaying an error message...

Remove the error message displayed when users click the 'stop' button. On click on the 'stop button, the 'parsing recipes' action should stop and take users back to the 'Image configuration' screen.

I cannot reproduce your issue locally, can you tell me your configuration?

I'm using Fedora14 with Kernel Linux 2.6.38-0.rc8.git0.1.fc15.i686.

I tried to replicate the error this morning and it didn't appear anymore though. I'm not sure if the issue was due to the fact I was selecting the qemuarm machine for the first time on my computer...

Also, today I noticed that the 'stop' button doesn't always work (with the beagleboard, the qemux86 and the quemoppc machines)...

What do you mean by "not work"? Is it not-clickable?

Actually we can only stop the parsing process in its first period (before 60%), and after 60%, I disabled the "stop" button on purpose.

If you want to do the reparse, you can manually exec:

# rm tmp/cache -rf

and then launch Hob.

Giulia, you can have a try of the latest master branch to see if you have further issues. Close this bug.

Hi Dongxiao,

May I ask why you decided to stop the parsing process only in it's first period? I believe it should be possible to stop the process at any time as a machine could get 'stuck' at 90% and there won't be any way for users to stop the process without restarting Hob.

Also when trying to load different machines and then stop the process, I noticed that often I can't select a new machine as the dropdown list is no longer selectable. To give you a more precise examples, here are the steps I did (the bug is always there!):

1. Select Beagleboard
2. Select mpc8315e-rdb 
3. press STOP
4. The dropdown 'select a machine' doesn't work and it reloads mpc8315e-rdb

I can select a new machine only if I leave the parsing process finish. Any idea of what's happening?

Hmm, per current bitbake server implementation, we could only stop the parsing period (before 60%). The left 40% is to generate targets tree (preparing recipe dependency, etc), we are not able to stop it now.

It is really strange that I could not see this issue in my machine. :-(

Hi Dongxiao,

yes, the error is still there. It seems like it happens mainly when I stop the action before the 6% is completed on 'routerstationpro' and 'mpc8315e-rdb', but, even though it happens most of the time, other times it just works...
