Description Giulia 2012-03-14 18:09:55 UTC
Tab order and labels should be: 'Included packages', 'All packages' and 'Packages by recipe'
Comment 1 Dongxiao Xu 2012-03-20 02:57:54 UTC
Will change the order after shane's Notebook patches are accepted.
Comment 2 Dongxiao Xu 2012-03-21 02:15:52 UTC
In current implementation, we don't have 'Packages by recipe' tab. Actually in the 'All packages' tab, the packages are already arranged by recipe. What's your opinion on this item?
Comment 3 Belen Barros Pena 2012-03-21 12:14:43 UTC
I think we really need a list of packages not grouped by recipe: a simple way of looking at a list of packages that can be sorted by name, size, by included, etc, without the recipe names getting on the way. How much work would that be?

I am not saying the grouping by recipe is not useful: simply that it is not always relevant, and it shouldn't be the only way of looking at packages.

Thanks!

Belen

The patch
http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=31124e675bd0a444b0d162a67f9623f9d1e7965a in the master is to fix the order.

I am going to file an enhancement bug to track implementation of "Packages by recipe" mentioned by Giulia and Belen, since that needs a bit effort to implement.
Comment 5 Shane Wang 2012-03-27 11:39:56 UTC
Bug 2180 is another separate bug for "Packages by recipe".
Comment 6 Giulia 2012-03-27 14:39:49 UTC
There is separate bug for "Packages by recipe".
