Can you tell us which versions of gtk+ and pygtk are shipped with CentOS 6.2?

That specific method was new in Pygtk 2.22 but I'm certain there will be other areas where we are using "too new" API.

Can i suggest that you add a command line option to hob "--for-bug-report" or similar, that will generate the kind of information you need for things like this. including what versions of API's are available etc.

I'm assuming this is what you want to know:

$ python --version
Python 2.6.6
$ gtk-config --version
1.2.10

I've not had chance to do anything with CentOS 6.x yet, I've been looking at the state of things on CentOS 5.x.

It's my intention to look at CentOS 6.x shortly.
Comment 6 Joshua Lock - Disabled 2012-04-04 22:03:13 UTC
I need to set up a CentOS 6.x VM and determine the required version of PyGTK then ensure we aren't using API which isn't provided in that version.

Estimate 2 days development and 3 days for submission, review and merge.
