Hob in the build appliance

Hob in the build appliance does not show its best face. We were wondering if it would be possible to include a GTK theme in the build appliance that provides a Hob presentation equivalent to the Yocto supported distros.

Attached an screenshot of Hob in the build appliance and Hob in Ubuntu 11.04 to illustrate the point.

Just a couple of more screenshots to show the complications with the theme: insufficient build failure feedback (see hob_selfhosted_progress.png and hob_selfhosted_failed.png).

Which is the "right" theme and font to be added, this will require a couple of new recipes to be created.
Comment 5 Paul Eggleton 2012-04-04 21:07:53 UTC
I'm certainly no GTK+ expert but I think the standard theme is "clearlooks". I'll look into how we would install this.

FWIW the font in the Ubuntu screenshot is the official Ubuntu font.
Comment 6 Paul Eggleton 2012-04-05 17:58:47 UTC
After some discussions we've elected to not do anything with the font as changing the theme is enough to solve the actual problem of the progress bar colour not changing (and the text being unreadable).

Paul: since you have access to the build appliance, could you verify the bug when you have a chance?

Thanks!!
