Am I right in thinking this was a build made with the beta-test for 1.2? I think this bug was fixed after the beta was released by http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=2082a205f2cfc93eb50e202acea5e7590f200cc5 in master? I did try this on my 11.10 system and couldn't reproduce. If you could test with the above change applied, that would be appreciated. I'm going to mark this as fixed as I think the patch in master addresses this problem. Please reopen if the problem still exists with the master branch of later release snapshots for 1.2. I downloaded poky-2082a205f2cfc93eb50e202acea5e7590f200cc5.tar.bz2 by using "dash" on ubuntu 11.10 64bits machines , running bitbake core-image-minimal still encounter the same problem ... NOTE: package core-image-minimal-1.0-r0: task do_rootfs: Failed ERROR: Task 8 (/home/nemo/yp-beta/meta/recipes-core/images/core-image-minimal.bb, do_rootfs) failed with exit code '1' NOTE: Tasks Summary: Attempted 1329 tasks of which 1324 didn't need to be rerun and 1 failed. Summary: 1 task failed: /home/nemo/yp-beta/meta/recipes-core/images/core-image-minimal.bb, do_rootfs Summary: There was 1 ERROR message shown, returning a non-zero exit code. Thanks. This is exactly the error the commit http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=2082a205f2cfc93eb50e202acea5e7590f200cc5 was added to solve. I tried reverting this locally and when I do, I get the message "local: 1: -Uhv: bad variable name" which matches the log file you posted. There is only one place the "-Uhv" options are used which is in package_rpm.bbclass and passed as an option to this function. Please could you check that change really was applied and that you are testing with an updated version of the metadata as all the evidence suggests its not that revision. |
