The LIS331DLH accelerometer is connected to a CPLD I2C bus. Neither the accelerometer nor the bus have upstream drivers. The bus has a driver approaching inclusion. I am writing the accelerometer with input from 3 incomplete/not-upstream drivers for the device. This provents these from being enabled in the 1.2 timeframe. Bumping to 1.3. Bumping the priority as I feel the FRI2 should be a flagship BSP for meta-intel as our most attractive Intel embedded device. This involves a major rewrite of the available driver as well as integration with additional similar drivers. The driver work is completed and we now just need to backport to 3.10, or wait for a 3.12+ linux-yocto. Not urgent. Did this happen with 3.14? Yes, the driver is now upstream. The only remaining task is to create an industrial meta-data hierarchy and include it with the intel-core2-32 build as fri2 will use this MACHINE going forward as the EMGD driver is no longer supported on current kernels. TunnelCreek CPUs will be removed from the 1.7 release. As such, this BSP will not receive an update. |
