Description Paul Eggleton 2012-07-31 15:59:01 UTC
With the work done for bug 2420 we resolved some known inefficiencies in the rpm backend for rootfs construction, however this was offset by work done for bug 2614; overall the time taken has increased slightly. We need to profile how rpm is being used and see if we can improve the performance further.
Comment 1 Paul Eggleton 2012-11-20 15:56:07 UTC
This is going to be very much conditional on what effect Smart has on the rootfs construction performance for RPM; hopefully it will improve things but we'll just have to wait and see.
Comment 2 Mark Hatle 2013-01-15 19:02:19 UTC
Bug 3273 captures a performance related problem with complementary installs with the new 'Smart' based install.
Comment 3 Mark Hatle 2013-01-15 19:05:21 UTC
Bug 3724 covers performance issues with incremental package installs.
Comment 4 Richard Purdie 2013-03-07 16:54:25 UTC
Since there are two other more specific bugs covering the issues, lets close this generic one.
Comment 5 Stoicescu Cornel 2013-03-20 12:34:04 UTC
Verified as per above comment.
