the recipe currently has hard dependency on ipkg, this recipe dates back a ways and needs to be updated/re-written.

Verified with master branch: d823759b4594143d522eae0b2a2498436a6dcb1e

Steps:
############
1. Run "bitbake external-python-tarball". The python-nativesdk-standalone-.sh file would be generated in tmp/deploy/sdk directory.
2. Run "sudo sh python-nativesdk-standalone-.sh" can install the file without problem.

There is a minor issue with the file name. The SDK_VERSION section is missing in python-nativesdk-standalone-.sh. I filed a new bug 3996 to report it.
