Description Paul Eggleton 2012-09-07 11:24:21 UTC
If you have an entry in MIRRORS which points to itself with a slash appended e.g. the following gnutls entry which we are about to remove:

ftp://ftp.gnutls.org/pub/gnutls ftp://ftp.gnutls.org/pub/gnutls/ \n \

If matched, such entries result in repeated looping adding a slash to the path each time until the stack space is exhausted. We were only not hitting this issue with current master because poky rev 188dff3daf048e369bcab0d1db2964490e43d734 changed SRC_URI in gnutls.inc to use GNU_MIRROR so this bogus mirror entry is not be used.

Would it be possible to backport this patch to denzil?
Comment 3 Paul Eggleton 2012-09-14 15:10:02 UTC
Sure, I've just sent a patch marked for denzil to remove the bogus mirror entry. I was going to do the same for the fetcher patch, but that doesn't apply cleanly and isn't absolutely needed if the mirrors entry is removed.

The fix to remove the bogus entry has now been merged into the denzil branch as well:
