find: warning: -path /OE/shr-core/tmp-eglibc/work/qemux86_64-oe-linux/linux-yocto/linux-yocto-3.4.3+git3+d65afd9e42230a3ef4cc1f9ad62d0aa84a533cd0_3+a1cdb60720c452c3965eaec3ec2cd10f06261cc5-r0/linux/ will not match anything because it ends with /.

Reported in June

and again in July
http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2012-July/026317.html

but it's still there with latest oe-core.
Comment 1 Bruce Ashfield 2012-10-03 21:30:49 UTC
I've still never seen this myself, and I've gone explicitly hunting for
this.

What is your host and version of find ?

Comment 3 Bruce Ashfield 2012-10-03 23:42:30 UTC
Perfect. I'll have (another) look.
Comment 4 Darren Hart 2012-10-04 14:43:01 UTC
Bruce, how are you doing towards a result?
Comment 5 Bruce Ashfield 2012-10-10 15:57:31 UTC
No updates, I was on vacation :) Will have a look, this is annoying, but not damaging at the moment.
Comment 6 Bruce Ashfield 2012-10-11 14:30:36 UTC
All of my ubuntu boxes are 4.4.2, which has different behaviour. Moving to a fedora box, which has the right version, and I can see the warning in my simple test.

Will have it fixed shortly.
Comment 7 Bruce Ashfield 2012-10-11 15:35:50 UTC
Fix is here:

http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/yocto-kernel-tools/commit/?id=a802ee9c8d9334c0f7932dfd40d45599addb7c90

I'll see if we can sneak it into 1.3.
Comment 8 Bruce Ashfield 2012-11-15 17:04:07 UTC
Fix submitted to oe-core.

commit 41d09ca6f0b639fd8ba0f1c5c7d7406bcb92a8fe
Author: Bruce Ashfield <bruce.ashfield@windriver.com>

    kern-tools: kconf_check: fix find warning

Bumping the kern-tools SRCREV to pickup the following change:

    [
        kconf_check: fix find warning

When searching for all available Kconfig files, kconf_check was using
$meta_dir instead of $META_DIR. This resulted in a truncated path and
        the following warning:

find: warning: -path $oe-path/linux/ will not match anything because it ends with /.

Using the proper variable removes the warning and make sure that we
do actually search all relevant directories.
