RP said: autoconf-native *must* use the system perl

but that segfault happens not only on my Gentoo host, but also on 3 Ubuntu hosts I have access to.

Also autoconf on host (2.69 from Gentoo) doesn't segfault like this for me (only autoconf-native from oe-core does).

Martin, is this only with webkit-efl or can you get a reproducer with straight oe-core?

If it's with webkit-efl, can you provide details on reproducing it.

There is more reproducers then webkit-efl I guess, because I don't rebuild webkit-efl so often, but I don't know about any other reliable reproducer (because I don't check dmesg so often between recipe builds and this segfault is not fatal for build itself, but I'll try to find something - corelate segfault timestamps with do_configure stamps in tmp-eglibc).

To test it with webkit-efl, just enable meta-oe/meta-efl layers and build webkit-efl and it should segfault.

Comment 3 Martin Jansa 2012-12-05 19:40:47 UTC
target git show that too
Comment 4 Saul Wold 2012-12-10 22:15:39 UTC
I tried to build target side git on my Ubuntu 12.04.1 system and did not see any segfault notices on my dmesg log.

I think more information maybe needed.
Comment 5 Saul Wold 2012-12-19 00:43:50 UTC
I have not been able to reproduce this locally on my machine, can you give me any more clues are you still seeing this issue? If not I will close this and it can be re-opened if the failures re-appear.
Comment 6 Martin Jansa 2012-12-19 11:26:15 UTC
There is small gentoo based chroot:
http://wiki.shr-project.org/trac/wiki/Building%20SHR#Setupshr-chrootifyoulikeSHRchrootapproach
where it always fail, I've seen the same segfauls on some ubuntu version (without shr-chroot) but I don't have access there now, so cannot test if it's still there with 12.04.01 or which version was there.

So you can try it with that shr-chroot if you want or close this (and we can reopen it when I or something else reproduces the same on some other distros).
Comment 7 Saul Wold 2013-01-08 23:53:43 UTC
I am not able to reproduce with with standard Ubuntu 12.04 distro, if you can get a reproducer on a standard distro (not chroot), then we can look at the issues.
