This is not a supported model, we only support ssh and tcf.
Comment 2 Alexandru Georgescu 2012-10-18 15:02:00 UTC
Hi Jessica,
Since only SSH and TCF connections are supported, is there a way that we could remove them from the Remote connection type list? Are they eclipse-plugin dependent?

If not, maybe we can add an error message which will inform the user that only TCF and SSH connection type is supported.

Thanks,
Alex.

Alex,

Other connection types are from Eclipse. Since Eclipse is an IDE platform which is not only for YP, we can't simply disable other things since other people may have their own plugin that can work with TCF, etc. It just not fall into our usage model. So please focus your test in the defined usage for Yocto instead of overall Eclipse IDE which we don't have a control on.
