ERROR: libxext was skipped: 'x11' not in DISTRO_FEATURES"

while i build a Baryon image, it shows errors "ERROR: libxext was skipped: 'x11' not in DISTRO_FEATURES".
Here is the steps to reproduce:
1. git clone git://git.yoctoproject.org/poky
2. git clone git://git.yoctoproject.org/meta-intel
3. git clone git://git.yoctoproject.org/meta-baryon
4. add ing cedartrail BSP into BBLayers
5. modify following in the local.conf:
   MACHINE ?= "cedartrail"
   DISTRO ?= "baryon"
   LICENSE_FLAGS_WHITELIST += "license_cdv-pvr-driver_1.0.3 commercial"

The error log is attached.

This is intentional in the baryon distro configuration. I imagine the problem is in the BSP which is clearly mandating X11 without checking to see if x11 is in DISTRO_FEATURES.

please advice how to solve this isse.

I think you need to clear the VA_FEATURES variable. At the moment this is set with = in the machine configuration for the cedartrail BSP, so for the moment you'll have to do something like this:

VA_FEATURES_forcevariable = ""

this works with me. thanks.
Comment 5 Paul Eggleton 2013-02-06 13:33:32 UTC
VA_FEATURES has been phased out in meta-intel (although one or two of the individual BSPs might still need it removed) and thus X11 is no longer forced by the BSP, so I'm marking this resolved.
