Created attachment 48 [details] PATCH to allow building If the user running the Poky build is not the same user (id) as the owner of the Poky [recipe] tree, then e2fsprogs-native will fail during the compile step as follows: ERROR: Logfile of failure stored in: /local/poky-test/tmp/work/i686-linux/e2fsprogs-native-1.41.12-r19/temp/log.do_compile.7905 Log data follows: | chmod: changing permissions of `./patches/quotefix.patch': Operation not permitted | chmod: changing permissions of `./patches/mkdir.patch': Operation not permitted NOTE: package e2fsprogs-native-1.41.12-r19: task do_compile: Failed The attached patch is a work-around. Better yet would be to understand why the compile step is trying to chmod everything (via the recipe)
