Which BSP specifically did you attempt to boot? Which image was it? Was it a live hddimg? Are you booting from a USB key? Have you tried a different flash drive? . TO me also it feels like bad USB-key. This was using the BSP (minimal) binary in the Danny distribution Intel® Atom™ N2600/N2800/D2550 w/NM10 chipset (Cedar Trail) release date 11/12/2012 Assigning this bug to Kishore, the owner of the cedartrail BSP. BTW I see the bug reported for only minimal image, Does that mean, the core-sato-image working fine for you? Hi, The Sato image does not launch X-windows and details are shown on bug report 3607. We re-tried the minimal binary with another USB flash device and obtained the following serial port capture (We plan to checkout the first flash device later to determine if the flash is "bad" or the download was "bad". We've been double-checking the downloads.). After the system boots, there is NO PROMPT on the monitor, but the serial port does show a prompt. hci_hcd 0000:00:1d.2: irq 18, io base 0x0000f060 hub 4-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 4-0:1.0: 2 ports detected uhci_hcd 0000:00:1d.3: PCI INT D -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 uhci_hcd 0000:00:1d.3: UHCI Host Controller uhci_hcd 0000:00:1d.3: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 5 uhci_hcd 0000:00:1d.3: irq 16, io base 0x0000f040 hub 5-0:1.0: USB hub found hub 5-0:1.0: 2 ports detected Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... usbcore: registered new interface driver usb-storage USB Mass Storage support registered. i8042: PNP: PS/2 Controller [PNP0303:PS2K,PNP0f03:PS2M] at 0x60,0x64 irq 1,12 serio: i8042 KBD port at 0x60,0x64 irq 1 serio: i8042 AUX port at 0x60,0x64 irq 12 mousedev: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice rtc_cmos 00:06: RTC can wake from S4 rtc_cmos 00:06: rtc core: registered rtc_cmos as rtc0 rtc0: alarms up to one month, y3k, 242 bytes nvram, hpet irqs md: linear personality registered for level -1 md: raid0 personality registered for level 0 md: raid1 personality registered for level 1 md: raid10 personality registered for level 10 md: multipath personality registered for level -4 md: faulty personality registered for level -5 device-mapper: ioctl: 4.20.0-ioctl (2011-02-02) initialised: dm-devel@redhat.com ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) cpuidle: using governor ladder cpuidle: using governor menu sdhci: Secure Digital Host Controller Interface driver sdhci: Copyright(c) Pierre Ossman EFI Variables Facility v0.08 2004-May-17 usbcore: registered new interface driver usbhid usbhid: USB HID core driver HDA Intel 0000:00:1b.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 22 (level, low) -> IRQ 22 hda_codec: ALC662 rev1: BIOS auto-probing. Also it is possible your monitor is not able to show the mode chosen by the graphics driver. Can you try with newer/different monitors? Fine, I can add another bug report and then also add the comment that the Denzil version works WITH THIS MONITOR and the Danny version DOES NOT WORK with the monitor. And that we have finally gotten a Denzil build that does work with two different boards, each with a different monitor. Seems rather strange that you would want users to buy new monitors to use the most recent releases... jsshetler if you mentioned that it used to work on that monitor before your most recent comment, I didn't see it. Ross's point of separating the bug reports is important to keep bugzilla organized. One report per failure, not a support forum per user. Nitin never suggested you buy another monitor, he asked if you can test on another monitor to help determine if the problem is with the video mode selected or something else entirely. If you only have one monitor, we understand, just let us know. Please don't use that tone with people trying to help you. Enterring a new bug report for the issue(s). |
