Was there already an existing build in this build directory? When using bitbake-runtask, the user is repsonsible for making sure all dependencies exist. This sounds like dependencies were not present in this case so a failure is only to be expected. If an existing build was not present, this should be closed as NOTABUG. If the the dependencies of man were built previously this is a genune bug. Indeed i586-poky-linux-gcc was not built. I will revise the test case. Thank you for the help :) This is not a bug. Test case revised. |
STATUS: FAILED BUILD: poky-contrib: sgarman/denzil-next-pull4 ENVIRONMENT: Ubuntu 12.04 STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Download poky source and prepare the build environment . 2. Run “bitbake-runtask” command to build some packages. For example, run the following commands: "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_fetch" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_unpack" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_patch" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_configure" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_compile" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_install" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_populate_lic" "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_populate_sysroot" 3. Check the return value of each command by using “echo $?” and check the log file in work directory. EXPECTED OUTCOME: The return value of each command should be “0” and no error message in log file. Result: "bitbake-runtask man_1.6f do_compile" fails: " NOTE: make -j 8 -e MAKEFLAGS= cd src; ../conf_script Makefile cd man2html; ../conf_script Makefile<--><------><------> cd man; ../conf_script Makefile cd gencat; make cd msgs; ../conf_script Makefile Creating Makefile from Makefile.in make[1]: Entering directory `/home/cornel/SDD/Yocto/denzil/build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/man-1.6f-r4/man-1.6f/gencat' i586-poky-linux-gcc -m32 -march=i586 --sysroot=/home/cornel/SDD/Yocto/denzil/build/tmp/sysroots/qemux86 -O2 -pipe -g -feliminate-unused-debug-types -c -o gencat.o gencat.c make[1]: i586-poky-linux-gcc: Command not found make[1]: *** [gencat.o] Error 127 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/cornel/SDD/Yocto/denzil/build/tmp/work/i586-poky-linux/man-1.6f-r4/man-1.6f/gencat' Creating Makefile from Makefile.in make: *** [gencat/gencat] Error 2 make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
