config.log for sudoku

Environment used:
Host: Ubuntu 12.04 64bit
Commit id: 90c0eb29f0b41e4ac2d3d17ebad7295c2ebdc02a
Autobuilde link: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20121219-5/adt_installer-QA/adt_installer.tar.bz2



STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Installed ADT-installer for x86 architecture in a non-default location
2. Download and extract sudoku savant: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/sudoku-savant/sudoku-savant/sudoku-savant-1.3/sudoku-savant-1.3.tar.bz
3. source the i586 environment:
   $ source environment-setup-i586-poky-linux
4. Go to the extracted sudoku source folder and compile it using the sourced environment:
   $ ./configure $CONFIGURE_FLAGS



EXPECTED RESULT
4. Configure finishes successfully. Users then can type "make" to build the project


ACTUAL RESULT
4. An error appears, saying that the package " gtk+-2.0 " is missing (see config.log for full log):

checking for PACKAGE... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4.0) were not met:

No package 'gtk+-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PACKAGE_CFLAGS
and PACKAGE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

OTHER COMMENTS:
Happens for all the toolchain architectures: x86, x86_64, mips, arm, ppc.
Tried also on Fedora 17 64bit.
