branch: denzil; commit: 3456295898bf157e40ea1f8c335f0b7285d3d8a7

1. Download the source and set build environment.
2. Follow the meta-yocto/conf/local.conf.sample.extended to enable disk monitor. For example, add the following lines to conf/local.conf:

#please adapt values to your situation
BB_DISKMON_DIRS = "ABORT,${TMPDIR},40G,4510K"
BB_DISKMON_WARNINTERVAL = "50M,5K"

3. Run "bitbake core-image-sato" to build a image.

4. Notice incorect message "Waiting for 5 running tasks to finish:"

Expected result: Message should suggest all tasks are aborted and are not allowed to finish

Result:

"

Hi Saul or RP:

The master branch doesn't have this problem, but denzil has, the problem is that there is a "Waiting for 5 running tasks to finish:" which seems not match with the "Immediately abort since the disk space monitor action ...":

ERROR: Immediately abort since the disk space monitor action is "ABORT"!
[snip]
Waiting for 5 running tasks to finish:
[snip]

The tasks indeed quit immediately, the only problem is that there is a "Waiting for 5 running tasks to finish".

I'm not sure whether we have a next release for denzil, and I think that we should fix the knotty.py if we need fix this problem, I'm not sure whether we need fix it.
Comment 2 Robert Yang 2013-02-18 08:10:21 UTC
We decide won't fix it since it is minor and there is no next release for denzil after talked with Saul.
