Description John "Warthog9" Hawley 2013-02-06 09:34:54 UTC
Hob has 3 main screens:

1) Image configuration

2) Selection of what to build

3) What to include in the images

In stage 2 you select a pile of packages that you wish hob to build, if for some reason a package has a build error (lets say that tar isn't installed, or you are missing a library, etc) Hob will do all of the builds and then kick you back to the stage 2 screen without the originally selected packages selected.

This causes the user to re-select all of the packages they had wanted to build. Since this seems to be a manual process it encourages user error.

================
Expected result:
================

Hob should temporarily save the state of the selected packages before running the entire build process. Upon errors, when Hob kicks you back to the selection screen, the previously selected packages should be pre-selected so that simple select / deselection of offending packages could be done, should a user wish to disable an offending package.

Hello,

Can you please add the following information:
-host operating system
-what environment did you use to run HOB?
-poky version (or branch + commit) - if you used the build appliance, the version of poky relevant for it

Note: you can also use the "Version" field.

Tried to reproduce according to the reported test case.
For me, it worked according to expected result.
poky/bitbake/hob version: master, HEAD 9895d2c074156fee338d91aed7cfb0800477c622.
Comment 4 Andreea Brandusa Proca 2013-07-10 13:56:27 UTC
