Hi,

I just tried to compile an application that links against EGL and I get the following error during configure:

...core2-poky-linux/gcc/i586-poky-linux/4.7.2/ld: cannot find -lEGL

I verified and this is caused by symlinks not being created by the emgd-driver-bin recipe. Fortunatly a patch was already made for this:

Would it be possible to backport this patch to the 1.3 branch?

Ross, can you pull this commit in the 1.3.x branch?

Tom,
  Ross does not touch meta-intel for the 1.3.x release. So can you pull in the commit in the meta-intel 1.3.x release?

I tried cherry-picking from master, but it doesn't apply:

    Replace all the duplicate files by soft links, and also fix targets of
    some of the broken soft links.
    
    These changes avoid link issues like following, where detailed
    library versions included in the .so filenames cause linking issues.
