Steps:

1.Add the following line to conf/local.conf:
DISTRO_FEATURES_append = " pam"
Then run bitbake core-image-sato-sdk to build a image

2. Following the section "PAM Unit Tests" in wiki page: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/PAM_Integration to run pam unit test.

The tst-pam_pwhistory1 failed:

I was able to reproduce this behavior on master branch, commit ID:bdca49274173153b1b0a72887de6321b4756b684

Added the following in local.conf:

DISTRO_FEATURES_append = " pam kernel-devlibpam"
IMAGE_INSTALL_append = " libpam libpam-xtests"
######################################################

core-image-sato-sdk qemux86-64 image.

Could not reproduce it under dylan, commit ID: 789b2b7e0cca404ff8ba8ed5ba823d215e6ba5b4
