Description Jason Wessel 2013-03-28 18:27:43 UTC
After executing a long running bitbake command, it is often useful to be able to active logging of what is going on at certain points on demand. This is referred to as "real time" logging.

Originally this was a patch series posted here:

http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/bitbake-devel/2012-September/003629.html

Jason Wessel has kept this patch series current with the bitbake master which required some context changes over what was originally posted. It would be good to consider merging this with what ever the future of the interactive bitbake shell holds.

Defaulting to this behviour isn't what we should do. It's fine to support this patch but it shouldn't be enabled by default. We need a way to support other interactive modes for bitbake such as bbshell that used to exist.
