I also had these commits in meta-intel, but it shouldn't make a difference - I also had the same problem yesterday without them.

Comment 4 Tom Zanussi 2013-04-12 21:17:50 UTC
Just something to add - the same hardware setup with danny works fine. I've attached xorg and dmesg logs for both cases.
Comment 5 Bruce Ashfield 2013-04-12 21:19:47 UTC
Without the hardware .. there's little I'll be able to do with this.
Are you noticing any missing options ?

I've been able to use the keyboard on all the qemu*, and hardware
reference boards. So clearly something is different for this board!
Comment 6 Tom Zanussi 2013-04-12 21:23:23 UTC
dang, I blew away the build - I'll have to do a new build and check the .config - will put both the danny and dylan .configs here when I have them later tonigh.
Comment 7 Bruce Ashfield 2013-04-12 21:24:09 UTC
No problem. I'm configuring the board here as well. I'll update this later
to let you know what I find. Shouldn't be hard to locate.

Tom,
FYI, I rechecked the USB keyboard on Sugarbay with my images with same commits what you have used. And the USB keyboard is working fine.
Comment 9 Nitin Kamble 2013-04-12 22:35:32 UTC
Seems like my poky commits was older than tom's. now I am testing with the latest HEADs of the trees.
Comment 10 Bruce Ashfield 2013-04-12 23:00:39 UTC
I have a configured sugarbay here. nitin, do you have the full .config for your working image that I can use as a reference ?
Comment 11 Bruce Ashfield 2013-04-12 23:06:25 UTC
I diff'd a working and non working vintage .config's, the only differences I see are as expect, and nothing like a missing USB device.

There was a two week period where netfilter options weren't being added, and that's the biggest part of the difference between the old and new config I just diff'd. There is a KBD_KEYBOARD difference, but it also shouldn't matter:

dylan xorg.log with different keyboard = fine
Comment 14 Tom Zanussi 2013-04-13 18:08:06 UTC
After switching to a different keyboard, things work fine, so closing this.

I guess I do now have a keyboard that works in danny but not dylan, and with the same image newer keyboards are fine with dylan. Probably should investigate why the old keyboard shows this behavior. I also have an old sugarbay platform, which I think should be upgraded before spending any time digging into that.
