Description Alexandru Damian 2013-05-08 16:40:55 UTC
HOB (or a reasonable separated UI) cannot run on a remote machine.
It should always run on a remote server as to verify correct client/server environment separation.

This needs fixed, as to achieve a true separation between client and server.

recommend High - the entire WebHOB development is dependent on this scenario working ok.

It depends on multi-client integration.

As per Alex instructions, marking as resolved - fixed
Comment 2 Mihai Lindner 2013-07-10 07:54:36 UTC
Again, here, there's no references to changes, to documentation for this or to bugs indicating that this enhancement should be documented, nor we can find changes that contain the ID of this bug; validation could be hard.
A new "doc change" bug should address the above concerns.
Comment 3 Alexandru Damian 2013-07-10 08:26:21 UTC
This should be fixed as of
baff2630b3c883c37bcc33d984453e14a0d4a206

start a bitbake server

source oe-init-build-env
bitbake --server-only  -t xmlrpc -B [address]:[port]

on remote machine, set

BBSERVER=[address]:[port]

and run normal bitbake commands.

Verified.
