Description Melissa Anderson 2013-05-31 18:02:29 UTC
In order to streamline the creation of content
As a content creator
I need to be able to add all relevant data from a single location.

Can we install https://drupal.org/project/noderefcreate and https://drupal.org/project/cnr on yoctodev for evaluation?
Comment 1 Michael Halstead 2013-05-31 21:50:15 UTC
These are enabled on dev now. Let me know when I can push these and all the security updates to prod.

We've decided to move forward as follows:

While you can only add a user that already exists in the presenter field, that field is not required. If the presenter is unknown, then the field should be left blank.

For the event field, which should not be left blank, we've added noderefcreate. This allows editors to enter the name of an event that does not exist and when they save the presentation, the event will be created.

Editors should be trained to enter part of the event name, wait for the suggestions to appear, and choose from the list if an event already exists. The help field has text to support this process:

"Type part of the event name, then select it from the list. If you do not select from the list, a new event will be created. Be sure to visit the new event after you click Save and fill in all the event details you know."

This change is ready for review on production.
