(In reply to comment #2) > What about other hardware or Qemu targets, is this beagleboard specific? Hi, I do the same test in qemuarm and 8315E, with 20130731-1 images, no this issue. I also test beagleboard c4 with 20130625-2 image, no this issue neither. So i think this is a beagleboard specific issue. I've done this test with below scenarios: 1. test 20130731-1 images, kernel is 3.4.52, poky is 9de0ad47462c13ac4a2d73e12e92be6c1b4e0415, test failed. 2. test 20130618-2 images, kernel is 3.4.36, poky is 590010a6525b0e1bc1de73e794764e23404591df, test pass. 3. Use scenario 1 image, downgrade kernel version with scenario 2(cp uImage, MLO files and /lib/modules/ files), which means use 3.4.36 kernel and 3.4.52 rootfs, test pass. 4. Use scenario 2 image, upgrade kernel version with scenario 1(cp uImage, MLO files and /lib/modules/ files), which means use 3.4.52 kernel and 3.4.36 rootfs, test failed. I tested all above on a same beagleboard xm target. So we guess this is not a hardware issue, it is the 3.4.52 kernel issue. This is still related to the particular board and it's storage. if this was a general 3.4.52 issue, all boards would be seeing the problem. I'm going to bump 3.4 to 3.4.57 shortly, so it will be worth retesting it there. This should be retried on 3.10. Has this been retested against 3.10, or are the remaining issues with the beagleboard support preventing that test ? (those other issues should be solved soon). I haven't reproduced this, or heard of it on 3.10, so I'm closing the bug as "wontfix". |
