Ross, I edited these a bit so they would be in good form for bullet list or some sort of "laundry" list that is typical of the release notes that Beth puts together. You might want to look over the versions I created to be sure that the re-write did not introduce inaccuracies. Scott Added a "mesa-gl" recipe, which is an alternative for the fully-featured "mesa" recipe. "mesa" provides GL, EGL and GLES libraries, while "mesa-gl" just provides GL. The "mesa-gl" recipe is useful when used in conjunction with platform-specific drivers that only support EGL and GLES, for compatibility with GL software. Added a new virtual provider "virtual/mesa" for recipes that provide Mesa-compatible libraries. Both "mesa" and "mesa-gl" provide it and "mesa" is the default provider. If your platform has a non-Mesa GL provider, then the preferred provider for "virtual/mesa" may need to be set to avoid "mesa" being built unexpectedly. Looks good. I did a search for the string "mesa" in the 1.5 release notes that are online and the two items in Comment 1 are not in the release notes. I did not put this information in the manual set. So, this stuff did not make it into the 1.5 release. This bug should probably be assigned to Jefro or Beth as they could update the release notes to include the information. I put the target to 1.5.1 simply because we are past 1.5. Scott Marking this obsolete. |
