Description chnarius 2013-10-10 08:19:13 UTC
When I built meta-toolchain with multilib support, met this error:
| error: Can't install nativesdk-qemu-helper-1.0-r9@x86_64_nativesdk: no package provides libc6 >= 2.18

There is no such error if I disable multilib.

Below is my setting and log:

No problem until the below commit:

commit 8ebe7be3d9494c3467b5533091bf6832030aad99
Author: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

Comment 2 Khem Raj 2013-10-14 17:18:20 UTC
I am seeing the same problem when enabling multilib on ppc64/x86_64 in both cases.
Comment 3 Richard Purdie 2013-10-15 13:41:00 UTC
I've posted a couple of patches which fix this issue.
Comment 5 Alexandru Palalau 2013-10-17 15:40:32 UTC

Comment 7 ATUL 2014-07-09 11:38:41 UTC
Hi All,

I downloaded the current git head poky master commited on 8 July(http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/).
I am building bitbake with meta-toolchain for multilib support.
Local.conf:
              MACHINE ??= "qemuarm"
              require conf/multilib.conf
              MULTILIBS = "multilib:lib32"
              DEFAULTTUNE_virtclass-multilib-lib32 = "armv5"
And here we are looking to have multilib support for each variant like hard-float, 64 bit, big-endian and so on.
Please let me know what i am missing.
Also the yocto release which i am working has already been applied with the patch mention in the Richard.

Thanks and regards,
Atul

Atul: Please do not reopen old resolved bugs which you were not party to. I'm presuming you are not seeing a libc6 >= 2.18 bug so this does not apply to you. Filing the new bug 6505 was the correct thing to do.
