STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Install Eclipse using the Headless Build
2. Set the Yocto ADT's toolchain, sysroot location and kernel
3. Switch to BitBake Commander perspective
4. Create a new BitBake Commander project with a new git clone:
   4.1 Go to File->New->Project
4.2 Select "New Yocto Project", under "Yocto Project BitBake Commander"
   4.3 Press "Next"
4.4 Fill in the project name
4.5 Select "Local" from the "Remote service provider" dropdown list
4.6 Select "Local" from the "Connection name" dropdown list
4.7 Type the desired location in the "Location" text box
4.8 Check the "Clone from Yocto Project Git Repository into new location" checkbox
   4.9 Press "Finish"

EXPECTED RESULT:
A new clone is being checked out and the new project is displayed into the Eclipse explorer window

ACTUAL RESULT:
An error is displayed in the Eclipse Yocto Project Console:

You must specify a repository to clone.

Comment 1 Alexandru Georgescu 2014-01-30 13:38:21 UTC
I couldn't reproduce on my Fedora 20. I will investigate further on Ada's machine.
Comment 2 Alexandru Georgescu 2014-01-30 14:05:11 UTC
I retested it on my Ubuntu 13.10 64bit.

Seems that the issue reproduces with the latest commit (f4d8e9243f9355424a01e2d72fd1abbf68d3bb7c): http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20140129-3/eclipse-plugin/kepler/org.yocto.sdk-development-201401292029-archive.zip

This issue does not reproduce with the previous commit (M2.rc2):c73c6e4510c42601854f3c542ca6e14b4510380c: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20140123-3/eclipse-plugin/kepler/org.yocto.sdk-development-201401232333-archive.zip

Please note that in order to test the rc2 version, sh symlink must be changed to point to bash, not dash! - see https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5707 -
