We started to boot performance tuning, The boot performance is currently ~2.6s when fastboot is enabled during bios boot. Hi Tim, I think the 2.6second is got from "release version" BIOS with "fast boot" enabled. Could you confirm? Hi Jolley, You could enable "fast boot" by following setup option: Device Manager-> System Setup-> Boot-> Fast Boot About the title of this bug, did you mean <5sec or <0.5sec? Assigning this to Darren; since he will need to run the tests. But, yes we want the booting to take less than 0.5 sec. The bug is correct and is shooting for a 0.5 (1/2) second hand off. We've seen, basically this, on other platforms using the same SOC. My own current testing is showing 5.40 seconds from power on to hand-off to boot loader using fastboot. Fastboot is fine. BIOS boot Performance
With fast boot enabled, no monitor connected, and only SD card inserted, it takes 2.2s to hand off to UEFI Shell. Please check attached log for detail.
