This is really an hour or so to change and get working. The other time is senario testing and socialization. Newcomer or Kevin if he ever has less to do in his WR work. Bulk move from 4.99 or 0.00 to 5.99 I have done a lot of work on networked and efi GRUB and could probably figure this out. However, this bug does not include a list of modules to add and the link to the composite grub image mentioned in elsewhere in this bug does not seem to work now. Move to 5.99 since no one is actively working on this issue. I am willing to work on it if the list of modules was identified. Thanks Alan! I can't help with the list of modules so let's see if Kexin can. If not, pick a couple that you think are useful and testable I guess. Sorry, I also don't have the list of modules. Thanks for the reply Kexin. Bill, are you able to provide an initial list to Alan? Add Anuj, who may also be able to provide a list of modules to test. The original bug seems to have been filed for Minnow board/32 bit and is quite old so the original list or steps might not be helpful anyway. May be we can look at the Ubuntu script: https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/grub/+git/ubuntu/tree/debian/build-efi-images#n203 and see what they enable for network boot and enable and test? Bill, see Anuj's comment. Can someone describe a list of scenarios that might go wrong where additional commands would help? I know what I needed when I was trying to resolve network boot problems but I don't want to limit this to what I found I needed. Bill, please retake if you have time to work in this. |
