Need raw information in order to assess the effort to document this. As discussed, there should be info in https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/yocto/2011-March/001157.html as a starting point for some data in the manual and Kevin or I can answer any further questions that arise. I don't think that I can address this during this release. I am pushing to post 1.1. I have added a new chapter to the YP Reference Manual. This chapter is titled "Technical Details" and contains a major section on shared state that is based on the email that Richard posted down in the information section for this bug. The commit 7493f5e7ec641e7cd79f8e3e6c045cadf7a6999c entered above is the same commit for YOCTO #1500, which is a bug that is somewhat related to this bug. I should have indicated that the commit also fixes YOCTO #638 but I did not. Hope that is not a problem.
