Description Paul Eggleton 2014-06-11 14:47:11 UTC
It seems that the download link for pseudo is no longer working, e.g.:

http://www.yoctoproject.org/downloads/pseudo/pseudo-1.5.1.tar.bz2

This now redirects to the top level downloads section. This URL comes from one of our recipes in a stable release, so we need the above URL to download the file directly as it did previously (as well as all other pseudo releases).

The change that removed this redirect was added on April 17th 2014. I've reverted it and pseudo-1.5.1 is correctly redirected to from this URL. I cannot find the reason the redirect was removed.

I found the reason the redirect was removed. It was to enable RSS listing of new releases. This fix broke RSS feeds. I'll make both work at the same time by using more specific matching.

FYI, the dylan release uses pseudo 1.4.5, so if you could ensure that is also available through the same URL scheme that would be great.
Comment 5 Michael Halstead 2014-06-11 16:41:58 UTC
http://www.yoctoproject.org/downloads/pseudo/pseudo-1.4.5.tar.bz2 verified working as well.

The rule looks like this and should work for all versions.

rewrite ^/downloads/pseudo/pseudo-(.*)$ http://downloads.yoctoproject.org/releases/pseudo/pseudo-$1 last;

Also note if you are testing this and have the HTTPS Everywhere extension installed your browser will get a 404. In that case disable the extension or use curl/wget to test.
