Current state: Linux 3.14 Mesa 10.1.3 xf86-video-intel 2.99.910 libdrm 2.4.53 libva 1.2.1 vaapi intel-driver 1.2.2 cairo 1.12.16 xserver 1.15.1 intel-gpu-tools 1.7 Kernel upgrade is in the hands of the kernel team. I've mailed Bruce to understand their plans. Other than that, the packages that need upgrading: - Mesa - xf86-video-intel - libdrm - intel-gpu-tools (typo in my comment, we have 1.5) - libva - vaapi-intel-driver Mesa through to intel-gpu-tools can be tested by booting a test image on a NUC and running piglit. libva/vaapi-intel-driver is slightly trickier and will need some manual gstreamer testing. (yes, we need to automate this) For 1.7 we'll be supporting the LTSI kernel, so 3.14. We should investigate if there's actually a requirement on Linux 3.15, and if so can we backport the patches to LTSI. xf86-video-intel patches sent. And there's a libdrm patch on the list. Down to: - Mesa - intel-gpu-tools - libva - vaapi-intel-driver The updated VA-API stack has landed in meta-intel so we're down to: - Mesa - intel-gpu-tools Marking as obsolete, 1.7 is about to be released and for 1.8 we've the 2014Q3 release, bug 6805. verified as per above comments |
