Description Volker 2014-07-07 21:31:44 UTC
The following line is a new setting in local.conf:
---
# Qemu configuration
[...]
PACKAGECONFIG_pn-qemu-native = "sdl"
PACKAGECONFIG_pn-nativesdk-qemu = "sdl"
ASSUME_PROVIDED += "libsdl-native"
---

Build systems often don't have libsdl installed. As result that ASSUME_PROVIDED line can breaks builds.

I am not sure if:
1. this check should be run if no qemu image is created
2. if it should be set by default

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature. A quick google showed that at least another build system had this problem, too. This ticket might therfore be closed as "WONT FIX" or similar.

If the build system doesn't libsdl, you can customize local.conf to state that. We don't want to do this on a per machine basis since that would mean rebuilding qemu-native each time. I therefore believe the current situation is correct and we're not planning to change this.
