This is a followup on feature 
https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6592

In 1.7 release, we link to a layerindex layer source using only recipe name; this bug tracks the addition of the layer name so a more precise match may be pointed for the user.

Alexandru, Is this defect still relevant? If so could you explain the issue in greater details and/or send a patch?
