Unfortunately Hob isn't really actively maintained at this point. However, I expect the reason it's failing is not so much the non-GPLv3 but that Hob is attempting to build a "live" image for qemumips, which isn't a valid combination - syslinux is excluded from building on non-x86 and that's why this error will be coming up. You could try unticking the live image format in Hob's options screen as a workaround, or if that doesn't work you'll almost certainly be able to do this build from the command line instead (I realise that's not an ideal situation though). Hi, I've tested without hob. A core-image-minimal build successfully but a core-image-sato-sdk seems that fails at gdb: autobuilder@ubuntuAB:~/tmp/poky/build$ bitbake core-image-sato-sdk WARNING: Host distribution "Ubuntu-14.10" has not been validated with this version of the build system; you may possibly experience unexpected failures. We don't support development tools such as gdb in a non-GPLv3 build since they arent something you would normally ship in a target image, so core-image-sato-sdk isn't an image that's expected to work with non-GPLv3 (the ref manual states that core-image-minimal and core-image-base are the only ones that we test regularly, FWIW). Given that the Hob issue isn't going to get fixed (and has a workaround) and non-GPLv3 builds are apparently working, I'm marking this as WONTFIX. (I should have said - thanks for double-checking non-GPLv3 builds.) |
