On the first boot of an image, the following is dumped to the console. This is poky-image-minimal on a beagleboard (this particular run was with the meta-linaro-2.6.35 kernel). ... update-alternatives: Linking //usr/bin/who to ../../bin/busybox update-alternatives: Linking //usr/bin/whoami to ../../bin/busybox update-alternatives: Linking //usr/bin/xzcat to ../../bin/busybox update-alternatives: Linking //usr/bin/xz to ../../bin/busybox update-alternatives: Linking //usr/bin/yes to ../../bin/busybox update-alternatives: Linking //bin/zcat to busybox update-alternatives: Linking //etc/init.d/syslog to syslog.busybox update-alternatives: Linking //etc/syslog.conf to syslog.conf.busybox usage: update-rc.d [-n] [-f] [-r <root>] <basename> remove update-rc.d [-n] [-r <root>] [-s] <basename> defaults [NN | sNN kNN] update-rc.d [-n] [-r <root>] [-s] <basename> start|stop NN runlvl [runlvl] [...] . -n: not really -f: force -v: verbose -r: alternate root path (default is /) -s: invoke start methods if appropriate to current runlevel ERROR: postinst /etc/rpm-postinsts/busybox.sh failed. INIT: Entering runlevel: 5 Upon rebooting, no error messages are reported. I'm concerned busybox is not compeltely setup.
