Description Mihail Stanciu 2015-01-20 12:41:09 UTC
Tested on master: d9d5b8b499af3ae01a1e33d0d3969c54c2d4ab1b

Steps to reproduce:
1. start toaster in observer mode
2. build core-image-minimal
3. once build completes, enter the build summary page
4. click on "core-image-minimal" in the left-hand menu, under the IMAGES section
5. make sure the "Packages included" section is selected, then from then the "Edit columns" menu make all columns visible
6. note that by default, the sorting is done ascending on the "Package" column
7. click on the "Recipe" column
8. hide the "Recipe" column from the "Edit columns" menu

Expected behaviour:
Sorting should reset to ascending on "Packages"

Observed behaviour:
Sorting remains on the "Recipe" column. If you make "Recipe" visible again, you will notice the arrow indicating this is the sorted column still present.

Issue also exists in the "Recipes" and "Packages" tables.
Comment 1 Mihail Stanciu 2015-02-04 10:33:48 UTC
Issue no longer present in "Recipes" and "Packages" tables, only present in the location described in steps to reproduce.

Correction, issue now also present under "Tasks", "Time", "CPU usage" and "Disk I/O" tables.
Comment 3 Michael Wood 2015-03-03 17:50:57 UTC
I'm going to rewrite this functionality as the current implementation is very buggy. Hence the Milestone bump.
Comment 4 Michael Wood 2015-03-11 19:01:40 UTC
Think I have happened upon an interim solution that fixes this.
Comment 5 Alexandru Damian 2015-03-30 16:01:41 UTC
Can you please update this bug if the solution was submited for review / merged ?

Comment 7 Belen Barros Pena 2015-04-10 10:22:30 UTC
The fix is working on the recipes table

/toastergui/build/build_no/recipes/

and in the packages built table

/toastergui/build/build_no/packages/

It is not working on all tasks-based tables:

/toastergui/build/build_no/tasks/
/toastergui/build/build_no/buildtime
/toastergui/build/build_no/cpuusage
/toastergui/build/build_no/diskio

or the packages installed table

/toastergui/build/build_no/target/target_no

Moved to 19M1, but feel free to change as needed.

Please test as I think this is fixed in master
Comment 14 Belen Barros Pena 2016-01-21 13:55:18 UTC
It doesn't seem to be fixed yet. The table sorting does not go back to the default sorting when you hide the sorted column.
Comment 15 Alexandru Georgescu 2016-02-04 09:57:42 UTC
seems that the issue still exists in YP 2.1_M2.rc1
