Tested on master: 22c38e2d8a058619e3d05534b5e830b750aa4241

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open toaster, create new project.
2. Click on "Import layer" link.
3. Fill out the form with information, for example:
layer name: meta-import
git repo url: git://github.com/shr-distribution/meta-smartphone.git
repo subdirectory: meta-acer
revision: master
layer description: Bacon ipsum dolor
4. Hit "import and add to project" then click on the imported layer to access the layer details page.

Expected results:
In the "About" section under "Description" you should see the text "Bacon ipsum dolor"

Observed result:
The "Description" entry is blank.
