Steps:
1. set the arch to qemux86-64
2. bitbake core-image-sato -c populate_sdk_ext

The sdk ext can build without problems. But the manifest files are all empty:

It is normal to have target.manifest empty. 

Host.manifest files have the "meta-environment-extsdk-qemux86 x86_64-nativesdk 1.0" record, so are good.  The "BDB2053 Freeing read" are covered by another bug:
