Initial Project Selection window
Hello, This issue was reproduced and we are working to get it fixed. Meanwhile, the easiest way to import your CMake project is to create a hello world project and then import your source and CMakeList.txt or just modify the default CMakeList.txt. Hi, Basically I have an Makefile based project which need to build using make command. So we tried to use the Makefile based project template with Yocto CMake Tool chain but it also fails as the paths are not being set. Then we tried using Empty project to import our files but it also failed. So right now it seems I can't use the plugin for building our code base :( using Yocto Eclipse plugin. Thanks, Abhinav If you have a Makefile project, building it with Cmake will require a bit of rework. The easiest thing to do until we implement Makefile support is to source the environment setup script prior to launching Eclipse from the command line. If your Makefile is properly written to use the standard environment variables (e.g. CC, CXX, AR, LD, CFLAGS, LDFLAGS etc) this will work. I am marking this as a duplicate as there is another bug (7556) tracking Makefile support. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 7556 *** But for the empty CMake based project still its an bug that the paths are not set properly. So that need to be also fixed. Thanks, Abhinav An empty CMake project will not really provide anything more than the hello world template provides today. The user will still need to write their own CMakeList.txt which can be imported in the hello world template. The empty cmake template will eventually be fixed, but it is a lower priority at the moment. Verified |
Created attachment 2477 [details] Environment window after project is created. While trying to create an Empty project under Yocto ADT CMake Project the project doesn't have the path properly set for the Yocto Tool chain. It has only two path set as CWD and PWD. So when tried to compile the code it use the default gcc or g++ instead of Yocto Tool chain GCC or G++. The snapshot 2 (image002.png) shows the same. One thing has been observed that if select HelloWorld Project then all the paths get setup properly and no issue is observed. The same error have even when we select existing Makefile base Project and select YoctoCMake Toolchain as part of the build system. This error is observed on all the eclipse plugin I have tried i.e. 1.6, 17.x for both Juno and Kepler.
