when test I2C/EEPROM funcitons of mpc8315e-rdb physical board:
1.cd /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0
2.depmod
3.error met when run "modprobe eeprom":
FATAL: Module eeprom not found.

no eeprom kernel module found in the image.

There's no support for this at the moment, so bumping it to 1.1.

verified using sato-sdk images from :
http://autobuilder.pokylinux.org/nightly/20110617-4/machines/mpc8315e-rdb/ppc/
can run "hexdump /sys/bus/i2c/devices/0-0050/eeprom and get eeprom's info.
