I think this is related to 722, and is likely fixed. Should be verified. The issue still exists on RC2-20110305 build, and I find the more generic steps to reproduce such the issue: 1. zypper search package, for example, man, zypper should show the packages matching pattern *man*, but no man-1.6f-r0.*.rpm is installed 2. Prepare man-1.6f-r0.*.rpm package and install it by rpm 3. zypper search, you will find zypper prompts no packages found 4. If you install another package by rpm, zypper search will work again If you install package by zypper, the libc6 issue will be prompted at the second time. The bug seems same as bug 827, bug 845 and bug 841. The bug still exists on RC3 build image, commit: a33a2cc024f9c9147c92c5da70d8fbb631b968f9, bernard branch on master tree. This is now believed to be fixed. http://git.pokylinux.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?h=bernard&id=a7d927af3585403fe6eb8d184bdadd307d681e02 Verify the bug with gold build, it is fixed. The commit number is 82af8b9fb6d6d1439943fd15b8a75c0e663e4a45. |
