I guess I have a fix for this failure make: Entering directory '/usr/lib/parted/ptest/tests' make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/lib/parted/ptest/tests' help-version.sh: failed test: --version-$VERSION mismatch FAIL: help-version.sh patch has been sent to OE-core list for the first failure. (In reply to comment #2) > patch has been sent to OE-core list for the first failure. Hi, Can you paste the commit id-link when it is merged? Thanks, AlexG (In reply to comment #3) > (In reply to comment #2) > > patch has been sent to OE-core list for the first failure. > > Hi, > Can you paste the commit id-link when it is merged? > > Thanks, > AlexG Sorry for the delay in response. Here is the link > http://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/commit/ > ?id=6d380d9d2e7f4a2e8c30da5c79086ee0391bfad5 no problem, thanks. Moving this to Resolved until verification and according to previous comments. Hi Ajay, Though the failure you have mentioned is Fixed by your commit, there is one still failing, which is: FAIL: t6001-psep.sh I think we should keep the bug open until FAIL: t6001-psep.sh is fixed as well. let me know if you need more info. Thanks, Alex This was REOPENED Alex: assigning to you to even out the load. Please move back if you disagree. What image are you using and where do you run it? For me, in core-image-lsb under qemu, the testsuite gets stuck right after help-version.sh so I can't get to the failing test. Maybe this is a new issue, can you re-run and check? Also, can you attach the log for the failing test, which should be tests/t6001-psep.log ? core-image-lsb is the wrong image to run parted tests. It defaults to busybox-dd which lacks some options of coreutils-dd that parted tests assume and use, so the testsuite gets stuck. The only other standard image that includes parted is core-image-testmaster, which has the same problem. So how do I make a correct image for these tests? Is this a separate bug perhaps? I am asking both you (Alexandru) and Ajay: what is the image that is used to run parted ptests and what hardware is it run on? Once I have that info I can open a new bug about the coreutils vs busybox issue that is the reason for the failing test. Stephen, when the bug assignee is asking the reporter (or participant) some questions and changes the status to NEEDINFO to reflect that, there is no need to reassign the bug to the person who is supposed to answer those questions. It is the Yocto Project's policy to change the person who is assigned when it is placed in NEEDINFO to who we want the information from. I have assigned the bug to Ajay to answer your question. Sorry for late response guys. I am on sabbatical. Right now I am closing this bug and will re-open if required during re-testing. Thanks, please let me know for more info. Closed ~ |
