Description Belen Barros Pena 2015-10-01 13:42:14 UTC
Toaster displays layer dependencies in several places:

1. The 'compatible layers' table

2. The layer details page

3. The dependencies dialog we show you when you add a layer to a project.

1 and 2 show the first level dependencies for a layer. 3 shows only those dependencies that must be added to the project (i.e it takes into account the layers already in the project, and also second-level dependencies).

The dialog, however, does not explain this, and doesn't differentiate between first and second level dependencies, and that can cause some confusion as to why is there a difference between the number of dependencies reported in the table or the layer details page, and the number of dependencies shown in the dialog.

We should redesign that dependencies dialog:

* To make clear that it shows *all* really required dependencies.

* To specify where the dependencies come from (if they are first or second level dependencies, and if they are second level dependencies, which layer in bringing them in)
